800 had the best crunch and hard rock. DSL was a good all-rounder. SV had best cleans. SJ wasn't bad.

I thought the 6L6's sound sounded brighter and better on clean, the EL34s better on crunch in standard tuning, as the supposed "looseness" was also more interesting. I suppose for downtuned, the 6L6s are better; tho I almost never like that kind of "music." Same deal tho: brighter, plainer, less interesting. No soloing? That's pretty important, too; and can sound very different than other material.

It's gotta be the original Powerball for me. They have the Engl sound I originally fell in love with. Savage Mk2 also seems interesting, would love to test it

In the event I owned a cleaner sounding amplifier-Maybe a Fender Mustang, this would be good run through the FX loop. I think it may be close to having 2+2= 4 amps, if the Friedman IR is dialed in properly. The IR needs a delay to make it sound real, In my opinion. These are about 500.00 now.-I have already seen one being sold as used 75.00 less.-In the event you can wait (I sure can) pick one of these up for 350.00?? might be a good way to update your rig. If you want to go into the Friedman direction. Believe it or not. there are people that can live with out a Friedman amp tone, and still get laid. Unlike some people.

I put classics in 2 of my EVH Wolfgangs. Has to sand the ear ends on the pickups to fit the guitar but did not damage the pickups and it only took me 30 minutes for all 4. After I got my 410h and used a Helix in 4cm setup I never really felt I needed much more except a wah pedal in front.

MIDI along with their Defeat switch and the same hardware as their Noise gate all integrated into a single amp is why I love Lichtlaerm audio and their products

All sound good. To me the SV sounded the brightest, the JCM800 was the chunkiest, the silver was slightly scooped and the DSL was comparatively smooth. Both the DSL and the JCM800 sounded the most like a record imo. I preferred the SV and the 800.

I love your videos, but I’ve grown to learn that your videos are not a “clear” reference of how the amp sounds like, so I wouldn’t recommend taking buying decisions based on your videos….. they are more like look at what these amps can do if you really really and I mean really what you are doing when recording and double tracking guitars and post processing and stuff….. they are more like “check the potential on this amp” more than “check this amp out of the box” ….. the riff and song are sick and you give a goal to strive for

Great review thanks! Well to get any better tones you explained it best at the end of the video about needing a big tube amp. Great option for smaller gigs, though, and I was looking for an option. It seems this is it.

Always like your 8 string riffs man 👍. Cool to see you have a guitar with D-activators too. I have them in my Xiphos 7 and had them in my Shredzilla 8 for a while too. I stupidly didn't order the 8s with covers so the gaps around the pickups finally got to me. The Fishmans are back in and sound killer too. If you have a small leopard print coat for the amp, I think Ken would approve too. I think the color is cool. Get what makes you happy

Excellent showing/demonstration of some of the things this amp can do. Very well done. And might I say your Gibson Les Paul Standard's color along with the maple top flame is one of the best looking color combinations I have ever seen. It's magnificent. Cheers👍🏼

I’m surprised I didn’t like this more. I usually love all your demos, and I’ve been interested in Revv for quite a while, but something about this just didn’t hit home for me, and I’m pretty sure it’s not your demoing.

Wish I could find one in real life to see what the hype is about. UA-cam demos through monitors just make Revv products sound generic to me.

If I were doing a cost-no-object metal amp buy, it would be either this or the Bogner Uber Ultra KT88; I'd be interested in your comparison of both, but the Revv is available everywhere while the American is a unicorn you'd probably have to borrow.. Don't miss out on the Purple channel set to low gain through Greenbacks for a monster studio-polished crunch sound 🤘

Hi there, your riffs are amazing!!!!In terms of Hi gain sounding, the fireball gain is dialed at 4 while thePowerball II is at 9. Is worth to dial fireball to 9 in gain? or is just too much? I know your taste is not objective but I would like to know your opinion. I miss in the video the fireball gain capacity!!!!Cheers

well I can't agree or disagree as I have, and never had, any of these units ... would have been great to do the same video with much more cheaper units ... not everyone can buy themselves one of these when you need at the same time ... a guitar obviously and so many other things, audio card, monitors, computer etc etc etc . If by any chance you do a video on cheaper units, you'll be most welcome ... but I guess that won't happen if I refer to the material you own ... your walls' material are already the cost of a Porsche ... 😁
